Presentation
The La Botera winery was founded in 1986 in Batea with the vocation of transforming and marketing the fruit produced by its partners, all farmers who experience the world of vineyards and wine firsthand.
In its beginnings, La Botera only marketed wines wholesale, and currently offers high-quality young white, rosé, red and crianza bottled wines with the characteristics and differentiation that the Terra Alta Designation of Origin gives them.
La Botera winery is committed to local trade and respect for the environment and is faithful to its work philosophy that has transformed it into a company capable of guaranteeing eco-sustainability in the territory. Currently, the team of professionals who work there has made the winery grow and has significantly expanded its human cohesion.
The facilities
The winery has two headquarters: the oldest, located in the center of the town,
is where La Botera was founded, and the new winery, which was inaugurated in 2018
and is in a 4-story building located at the foot of the road, right next to
the main entrance to the town of Batea. The winery has a total surface area of approximately 3,500 m² distributed between the grape reception and vinification area, the processing room -with large tanks-, the barrel room -where aging takes place-, the packaging area, the warehouse, the laboratory, the shop
and the tasting room.
